Social engagement by DEICHMANN

Based on its Christian conviction, the Deichmann family has supported poor people in India for over 30 years. In doing so, over 100,000 Indians have already received help from Germany in one way or other: the objective is to improve the general living conditions for the population, for example by constructing water supply lines or by regularly providing milk for malnourished toddlers.

All projects, however, never lose sight of the future prospects of the people affected. This includes medical help for Leprosy and Tuberculosis sufferers in own facilities or newly created opportunities for the next generation to benefit from sound school education and vocational training.

In Moldavia, wortundtat has been supporting the diaconal medical centre "Gloria" since 2006.

In Tanzania, one of the poorest African countries, our help focuses on setting up health services, promoting agriculture and cattle breeding as well as school education and the mechanical training of young people.
